It is still not known whether Rocky Horror Picture Show creator Richard O'Brien will be allowed to retire to New Zealand.

Mr O'Brien has been immortalised with a statue in Hamilton's main street but has been denied residency because of his age.

Dion Smart, Richard O'Brien's immigration agent, said they had heard from the Associate Immigration Minister's office and while there was no "time frame for a decision it was clear it was being put forwardwith some urgency".
