Nandor Tanczos agrees the grass is greener in the Waikato, and that's one of the reasons he's moved here.

"Yes, the grass is greener," says the Rastafarian [Green Party MP] with a smile.

"Hamilton fascinates me. When the Richard O'Brien statue (Riff Raff, in honour of the Rocky Horror Picture Show creator) is finally finished, they'll have that at one end of town and the cow-cocky farming family at the other end.

"That says everything about Hamilton, it's surprisingly diverse."
