It was the biggest budget production for the Hamilton Operatic Society –- and thanks to 13,000 people who joined the time warp, the curtain closed on Saturday on a profitable Rocky Horror season.
With a $400,000 budget, "we pretty much broke even" marketing manager Chris Parker said today.
The show's rights and hiring the Founders Theatre took a quarter of the budget, and actors' fees were also a costly component.
Producer Paul Mitchell said he was not nervous about the size of the budget and was confident the show would be a success.
"I knew it would work," he said.
